I can’t quite put it into words just how utterly awkward and uncomfortable it is for me to be sharing these two small clips with my shirt off doing pull-ups at the gym. Yet, I feel that if I’m going to offer something, I should be accountable and demonstrate that I am not exclusively the nerdy guy in glasses and Nordic sweaters ranting about hypnosis, psychology and neuroscience offering up theory without personal application.
At the end of the year and in readiness for 2025, I am going to be running a ‘psychology of body mastery’ programme. It won’t be offering dietary advice, training plans, recipes, and it won’t be telling you to do the things that I do in the gym.
Instead it is going to teach and encourage how to adopt and apply some scientific principles, psychological skills, and deliver some messages reinforced and delivered with hypnosis so that you can effect your own image of yourself, adopt the right kind of discipline and motivation required, believe in yourself, alter your perception of effort, raise energy levels, increase consistency, feel in control of appetite while also enjoying your life and not feeling deprived. It aims to help you feel really good in your own skin.
This is not a weight loss programme, it aims to be more than that. If your aim is to reduce weight, reduce body fat, then it will help you, but if you wish to gain weight or be more contoured, it’ll help you with that too. Many of us settle as we get older and submit to many of the effects that modern living can have upon us in a range of ways. This programme will offer an antidote.
So if you are looking to master and feel in control of your physique, regardless of age, are not looking for a prescriptive formula of diet and training but instead get to do the things that bring you joy and well-being, and be held accountable within a supportive, fun atmosphere, I think I have what you’re looking for. Watch this space, I’ll be making announcements soon.
Sounds very intriguing.
