I was recently invited to submit an article on the topic of defining Self Hypnosis which presents a number of challenges that I highlight in this video today.
I think it is a stimulating and interesting discussion.
Is all hypnosis self-hypnosis? Are self- and hetero-hypnosis distinct entities and if so, at what level? At what point of less involvement by a hypnotist does hetero- become self-hypnosis? Does self-hypnosis warrant a definition of it’s own that is distinct to hetero-hypnosis? Is it actually folly to try and dissociate the two and if so, for what reason?
